Who's Holding This

I've always felt things deeply...
The kind of man who senses the room, carries others without being asked, and spends a lot of time inside his own mind trying to make sense of it all.
Most people are wired one way. Either they live in their head, always processing, always making sense of things, or they live in their feelings, closely attuned to what's true. I've been given both. It's a gift, though not a simple one. When you can feel everything and analyze everything at the same time, it takes years to work out what to do with all of it.
For a long stretch I stayed up in my head anyway. I noticed how quickly we retreat into our minds rather than stay with what we're actually experiencing. When I met breathwork during my own training, something moved. It was a personal journey long before it became part of how I work with others, and it taught me, slowly, that you can't think your way out of something you felt your way into. That's why I'm in this with you and not guiding from the outside. I know what it feels like, because I've lived it.
"You can't take someone further than you've gone yourself."
I'm Lipa Honig, LMSW — a psychotherapist by training and a Certified Psychosomatic Breathwork Facilitator, trained in IFS and the deeper work of the body and the parts of us that carry old pain. I've been holding space for men in breathwork groups, in one-on-one work, and in the quiet moments after both. It's an honor every time.
Outside of this work I try to make room for the things that keep me grounded: being in nature, reading, teaching, and creating. Honestly, I wish I had more time for all of it.
My approach is simple. Move with intention, go as far as the man in front of me is ready to go, and meet him with compassion rather than judgment.
Let's be honest... we're all human, and we're all in this together.
